Basic parameters: The isoelectric point of Cobra Venom Factor (CVF) is 6.2, and its molecular weight is 145.8KD. It consists of three subunits: 30 KD, 49.6KD and 66.2KD.
Biological activity: Combining with plasma binding factors, C3 pathway can be activated and complement system can be activated, which can transform complement into active state, reduce complement level in blood, produce anti-complement effect, and reduce immune rejection of human body. After activating the complement system, CVF produces a membrane attack complex. On the one hand, the membrane attack complex causes cell lysis, releases tissue factor III, and then activates the peripheral blood coagulation system. On the other hand, CVF causes platelet aggregation, activates platelets and promotes coagulation.
Objective: To reduce acute rejection in organ transplantation.
