nerve growth factor

神经生长因子

Fundamental animal: Cobra (Naja Naja atra)

Basic parameters: NGF consists of three subunits: alpha, beta and gamma, with molecular weight of 29 KD and isoelectric point of 6.75. The beta subunit is a dimer containing two identical peptide chains.

Bioactivity: The beta subunit is connected with receptors on the neuroplasma membrane, regulating the growth and differentiation of sympathetic neurons, and it can also activate polypeptides, so it has important regulation and control functions on the growth and differentiation of sensory nerve tissue.

Direction of application: neurodegenerative diseases
